Mexico City is one of the most exciting cities in the world when it comes to food. From street tacos to fine dining, you’ll find everything here. Mexico City has a thriving coffee culture and is full of artisan bakeries. One of my favorite things about a city trip? Starting the day with a great breakfast out. Luckily, when it comes to breakfast in Mexico City, you’re in the right place. Especially in the neighborhoods of Roma Norte and Condesa, the streets are filled with cozy cafés and trendy breakfast spots. And since many hotels are based in these areas, you never have to go far for a delicious start to the day.

I’ve started planning a few local staycations to personally test and review some of The Hague’s best boutique hotels. Hotel The Collector is located on the charming Haagsche Bluf courtyard, right in the center of town. You get why it’s called The Collector the moment you walk in. Art on the walls, carefully chosen design pieces… the whole space has this eclectic, stylish vibe.

On my mission to discover the best boutique hotels in The Hague, I check into the recently opened hotel De Plesman. Since opening in March 2025, it has already earned a coveted Michelin Key. Much like Michelin Stars for restaurants, this recognition from the Michelin Guide is awarded to hotels that offer an extraordinary experience.
