Video: How to Spend 4 Days in Yogyakarta

This post is also available in: Nederlands (Dutch)

Yogyakarta Travel Guide VideoBlog posts with lists, like 8 interesting things to do & see in Yogyakarta can be practical when you’re planning a visit to Java, Indonesia. But it doesn’t really show you what the city looks and sounds like, the people, the weather, how impressive some of the sights are, or what to expect when you book a specific tour.

Practical is good – I like practical – but we’re travelers, so we want to see more, right?

So to show you how I spent four days in Yogyakarta plus my visit to the famous temples Prambanan and Borobudur, I put together this six minute travel video.

Editing this video also reminded me how easy you forget certain experiences as soon as you leave. I kept having these “oh, I forgot about that!” moments. Experiences I even forgot to mention in my ‘8 interesting things’ post. Drinking luwak coffee (the most expensive coffee in the world) and the jeep tour to the active Merapi volcano (the one that erupted in 2010, killing 353 people).

So actually it should have been a ’10 interesting things to do and see in Yogyakarta’ post, which also sounds so much better!
