Maar ik heb bewust voor een stedentrip Tallinn in de winter gekozen vanwege de sneeuw, dus ik ben blij. En terwijl het vliegtuig daalt zie ik een prachtig wit winterlandschap onder mij verschijnen. In nog geen 2,5 uur vlieg je van Amsterdam met KLM / airBaltic naar Tallinn, de hoofdstad van Estland. Ik ben er voor het eerst....

New York’s Best Coffee
Oh, how times have changed. When I moved to New York in 2003 I didn’t even drink coffee. And because there was no Starbucks in the Netherlands back then, I thought walking the streets with a Starbucks cup (not with coffee) in your hand was the coolest thing ever. In a city that never sleeps, do you actually need a hotel? Well, as much as I like to get the most out of my stay in terms of sight seeing (and coffee drinking), I do appreciate a good hotel bed to return to. And if there’s one hotel I know that has the perfect comfy bed, with 2 x 2 m king size dimensions, it’s citizenM.
2 Michelin Star Lunch Experience with Truly
I unfortunately don’t have an unlimited budget to dine out (if only…). I’m not complaining, but let’s say that you won’t find me in restaurants with a Michelin star very often. Let alone a restaurant that has two!
So when you receive an email from a company asking if you want to try one of their experiences. And on that list of experiences is a 2 Michelin star lunch…You’d also do a little happy dance right?
Falling in love with New York again
Ah, New York… It had been too long. Four years since my last visit. It won’t happen again.
It’s hard to explain why I love this city so much. There’s just something in the air that gives me butterflies in my stomach. It happens every time. My first reaction when I arrive is usually pretty neutral. Yes, it’s good to be back, but it’s also loud, so many people, all these buildings, dirty streets, etc. Is it really that amazing, I wonder. Give it 20 minutes…. And yes, there are the butterflies again. I can’t help it. I’m literally in love with New York.
