The lights are up in all the shopping streets, and even though temperatures haven&#8217;t dropped below zero yet, there are several ice rinks in the city to practice your pirouette.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One of them is the UK&#8217;s largest outdoor\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/hydeparkwinterwonderland.com\/things-to-do\/ice-skating\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ice rink<\/a>\u00a0around the Victorian bandstand in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.royalparks.org.uk\/parks\/hyde-park\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Hyde Park<\/a>.\u00a0It&#8217;s part of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hydeparkwinterwonderland.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Hyde Park Winter Wonderland<\/a>, an interesting combination of a Christmas market and winter fair on steroids.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But if you&#8217;re not quite ready yet for ice sculptures and apr\u00e8s-ski, then Hyde Park is still the place to go. With its 142 hectares it&#8217;s not even the biggest park in the city, but definitely the most well known one.
